During the aforementioned press conference, Joey Barton told reporters that the injury list has shortened with a couple of players in line to make their return to the Bristol Rovers squad for the away game against Stevenage this weekend. He confirmed that the trio of Ryan Loft, Jon Nolan and Antony Evans are on course to make a return to League Two football afterweeks on the sidelines as a result of injury.

Joey Barton has had to deal with a lengthy injury list as Bristol Rovers boss this season. The former Premier League player is now a happier man as regards the injury issues in his time with players now returning to full fitness. Recently, the trio of Alex Rodman, Harvey Saunders and Leon Clarke returned to action after respective lengthy spells on the sidelines.

Evans is a major creative talisman at Bristol Rovers and he could make his return from a hamstring issue at Stevenage after returning to training on Thursday. He sustained the injury during the first half of the defeat to hosts Oldham Athletic in the league on February 8 and he could play some part against Stevenage on Saturday. For new signing Loft, he made two appearances for Bristol Rovers on the back of signing for the club from Scunthorpe last month before the striker picked up a back injury thus making him miss almost a month of football. He could also make his return against Stevenage this weekend. For Nolan, the midfielder joined Bristol Rovers as a free agent at the start of this month after recovering from a serious knee injury and he could make his debut against Stevenage later this week.
